Description
19.5m Aluminium Ferry/Crew Transfer Vessel built 2000 by Rex Barnett to Maritime NZ survey for up to 49 passengers. Utilised for tourist transfers, it could be converted for use as a Crew Transfer Vessel, Passenger Ferry or a family vessel. Powered by Scania DI14 V8 marine diesel engines producing 503kW each at 2200 rpm. Each engine is close coupled to Scania gearboxes with 1.02:1 reduction and driving surface drive units, providing a service speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 26 knots.

Equipment
On the foredeck there is a hydraulic Maxwell anchor windlass with a single gypsy loaded with 80 meters of 15 mm short link chain rode coupled to a 70kg CQR type anchor.

Engine(s)
The two main engines are Scania DI16 V8 eight cylinder turbo marine diesel engines which develop 503 kW each at 2200 rpm.
Each main engine drives aft through a close coupled Scania gearbox with 1.02:1 reduction which drive aft to the transom mounted surface drives.
Auxiliary power is provided by a Kohler 6 kVA @1500 RPM 1-phase diesel generator to supply the vessel’s primary AC 230 volts, 50 Hz AC electrical power.

Safety Equipment
Mounted on the transom is a Gantry Frame for launching and retrieving the tender over the transom.
The vessel is equipped and maintained with the safety equipment required for MNZ survey.
A Fixed Fire-Extinguishing system with CO2 is fitted the engine room.  Life buoys, ACR ResQmate 406MHz EPIRB are also provided.
Lifesaving appliances are provided for up to sixty (60) persons.
